We are located in the centre of Lake Sommen on the northern point of Torpön.

Amenities include a café, restaurant, ice cream bar, convenience store and a large guest harbour with petrol.

Our restaurant offers a variety of tasty dishes with local flare, all reasonably priced and served with a smile. We welcome large groups and solo travellers alike.

Our campground is scenic and charming.

How to get here

If you are coming from the north take our scheduled ferry “Viktoria” over the strait to Torpön.

From the south Torpön is reached by a bridge. The road to the northern point of Torpön winds its way through the beautiful countryside.

If you are traveling by boat you can’t miss us… Torpön is the largest island on Lake Sommen stretching 10km long and 4km wide at its widest point. The island is home to about 60 permanent residents, but during the summer the local population is much larger as vacationers flock to their summer homes. Torpön’s scenery is breathtaking.

One hiking trail extends across the whole island offering a true nature experience. The trail is over 30km long, but there are several places where you can end your hike if you choose.

On the southern part of the island, near the bridge, there is an environmental reserve with a charcoal hut that has been restored and is used almost every fall. There is also a shelter and charcoal stack.

In 1992, a tourist centre that has become the centre of the whole Sommen district was built on the northern part of the island, near the ferry.
